Paula Kay’s career as an artist began in 1997 when she was commissioned by the Mayor of Enfield to paint a mural in aid of racial equality on the seventh floor of the Enfield Civic Centre’s stairwell.
From here she has continued to develop a vibrant and eclectic collection of work, taking her inspiration from anything she perceives as beautiful from nature to intricately designed fabric.
The principle for which the creation of her work is based is that the viewer should be able to appreciate their form as aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
This vision has been generated by the desire to subvert the current trend of many modern day artists where this simple principle has been forgotten or ignored.
A unique and wonderful aspect to the art work of Paula Kay is that, her creations remain unnamed until whomever decides to purchase has the opportunity to provide inspiration for such.
